Girls' Night at AR Workshop-Evans.

AR Workshop-Evans recently invited the Augusta Bloggers to come and enjoy the ultimate DIY experience!

I have seen so many pictures on Instagram of people making things at AR Workshop and have been dying to go check it out myself. I was thrilled when Brandi from AR Workshop Evans invited us to come craft!

What is AR Workshop?

From their website:

Our DIY workshops feature step by step instruction for learning unique skills and creating charming, unique and on trend home decor pieces and beyond. Our home decor projects are customizable and will teach you techniques that you can use for doing your own DIY crafts at home with a variety of materials! Custom wood signs, wood pallet signs, canvas pillows, round signs, lazy susans, centerpiece boxes,… the list goes on. Most importantly, our workshops are fun!

Where is AR Workshop located?

If you’re not an Augusta local, don’t worry! There are locations all over the US!

My Experience

As soon as I walked in the door, I was overwhelmed (in the best way possible) at all the beautiful home decor displayed all around the shop. I got so much inspiration by just walking around and looking at all the amazing things you can make.

We got to make a framed wooden sign with our Instagram handles on it and I am so proud of how mine turned out! We started the process by sanding down our wood to prep for paint/stain.

Next, we had to chose which color combinations to use for our sign…which was definitely the hardest part of the whole process haha. The wood stains we are also non-toxic so no strong odors, which is a big plus for me because my migraines are triggered by strong smells.

After choosing our paints and stains, we applied them and let them dry under a fan. What I loved about this whole experience was that our projects were ready to take with us when we left, so need to make a trip back there to pick your project up!

Once all of our wooden pieces were dried, we applied our adhesive letter stencil and painted on our letters. After we finished our individual pieces, we secured everything together with a nail gun and our project was complete!

Coming up on July 6th from 6pm-9pm, AR Workshop-Evans is celebrating their 1st birthday with lots of exciting surprises! Check out the link below for more information and to reserve your spot before they are filled!

I love promoting businesses that I thoroughly recommend and AR Workshop-Evans was kind enough to give y’all $10 off your next workshop when you use my code GRACE10 (good thru 8/31).

A big thank you to Aaron White for capturing these wonderful pictures of our night!

love always,
